How it works

Three taps before the khutbah starts

  1. 1

    Pick your language

Choose what you want to read or hear. Arabic is the default spoken language, and you can change it for any speaker.

  2. 2

Point your phone at the khatib

Tap Start listening. Balagh uses your phone's microphone from your seat. Nothing needs to be installed in the mosque.

  3. 3

    Read or listen along

Captions appear as the imam speaks. Prefer to listen? Turn on spoken translation and hear it quietly in your earphones.

What Balagh does

Every word, every verse, every khutbah

Built for the person sitting in the mosque who doesn't speak the khatib's language, and for everyone next to them.

  • Understand every word

Live captions appear on your screen as the imam speaks. Follow the sermon in real time instead of guessing or waiting for a summary afterwards.

  • Hear it in your earphones

Prefer listening? Turn on spoken audio and hear the translation quietly through your earphones while the khutbah continues.

  • Every verse, traced to the mushaf

When the khatib recites from the Qur'an, Balagh recognizes the verse and links it back to its surah and ayah, so you always know exactly what is being recited.

  • Keep every khutbah

Every session is saved to your history, on your phone. Reread the full transcript later, search it, and share it with family and friends.

  • Share the room

Show your room's QR code during a session. People next to you scan it and follow the translation on their own phone, in the browser, without an account. With Pro, each of them picks their own language.

  • Beyond the masjid

Watching a lecture, a livestream or a video call? Balagh shows live subtitles floating over any app. Or pick a recording from your phone and get the full translation as a subtitled video.

Questions

Good to know before Friday

Do I need anything from the mosque?

No. Balagh listens through your phone's microphone from where you sit. Nothing is installed in the mosque, and the people who scan your room code don't need an account.

Which languages does Balagh translate?

Into 35 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Urdu, Indonesian, Bengali, Persian and Swahili. The khatib's spoken language is Arabic by default, and you can choose another one.

How accurate is the translation?

The translation is generated live by AI, sentence by sentence, as the khatib speaks. Recited Qur'an verses are recognized and shown with their surah and ayah, so the scripture itself is never guessed.

Can the people next to me read along?

Yes. During a session, show the QR code of your room. Anyone who scans it reads the translation on their own phone in the browser, without installing anything. With Pro, each of them picks their own language, up to four per session.

Does it work outside the mosque?

Yes. Balagh can show floating subtitles over any other app, for lectures, livestreams and video calls, and it translates recordings and videos from your phone into a subtitled video.

What does it cost?

Downloading is free. Live translation needs Balagh Plus (100 minutes a month, one language) or Balagh Pro (150 minutes, up to four languages, shared rooms). The first month is discounted, and you can cancel anytime in your store account.

What happens to the audio?

The audio is processed only to produce your translation and is not recorded on our servers. Your transcripts are stored on your own phone, in your history, and you can delete them anytime. The privacy policy has the details.
